Zinc Variant
BCAR Bearings

The king has returned!

Includes everything you need to build 1 pistol and magazines.
Each talon spring can be used to make a 13 or 10 round magazine, or split to make two 6 or 7 round magazine.

Ziiiinc comes with 2 talon springs.
ZNC and ZC come with 1.

Ziiiiinc should be purchased with the 9 bearing BCAR if you actually want accuracy.
ZNC runs well with the 6 or 9 bearing BCAR.
ZC doesn't need it, but a 6 bearing bcar is available for it that does improve accuracy.

Many of you already have F683ZZ bearings and m3 pins, so I'm not going to check if you need it or not.

The latest kits coming out are a major departure from the standard hardware to improve performance, reliability, safety, and availability.  These changes aren't about trying to improve bottom line or ease manufacturing, they're all important upgrades to run a high performance and somewhat violent pistol.

Major Differences from the official kit

  • Aluminum Plunger Tube
The plunger tube included is aluminum with a 1.009 ID and very tight tolerances.  Polycarb plunger tubes have a lot of variability in ID that can dramatically affect final performance.  This isn't a cheap upgrade, but it's an important one.
  • More Reliable Heat Set
The heat set or thumb nut at the muzzle being provided by roboman has been improved with a significantly more aggressive texture to grab the plastic and stay put.  The original thumb nuts had a tendency to work themselves loose causing a couple of catastrophic failures, usually resulting in the plunger rod snapping and the plunger blowing out the back of the turnaround.

  • Updated Roboman Plunger Core
The newest iteration on the plunger cores provided by roboman have a deep counterbore in the front which reduces weight and friction against the plunger rod.

  • TPU Faced Plunger included
Every hardware kit (except for ZC which really doesn't need it) will have a plunger provided in PLA+ that I trust to survive abuse and has a hard TPU rubber face to absorb impacts and make the designs dry fire safe.

  • Heavier mag release spring
Do you hate it when your magazine drops out while firing?  So did everyone else.  The heavier mag release springs are up to the challenge.

  • Weaker Catch Springs
Original zinc 2.0 has a very heavy and long trigger pull.  The catch springs in the official kits don't help with this.  The trigger geometry has been updated in all of my files to make the trigger pull easier, and the weaker catch springs help.

  • Out of Darts K25 Springs
The original springs with an open end tend to work their way around the plunger head and scrape against the plunger tube.  The Out of Darts K25 (and when available again K25+) springs have a squared end that keeps it firmly around the plunger.

  • Lock Nuts For Ziiiinc
Included with the Ziiiinc kit are 2 lock nuts that hold onto the plunger rod in front of the heat set to ensure that under the extreme abuse that the plunger rod doesn't back itself out.

  • Items Omitted
There are no magnets. The pre-compression on the main springs is enough to keep the slide from blowing back.

The tiny nuts have been removed.  The jam nuts provided created more problems than they solved, especially after some hard use they would get stuck inside the print forcing you to destroy the print to remove the screws.  Screwing straight into the plastic is sufficient since the screws themselves aren't under any real pressure.

Tiny O rings have been removed.  The o ring that was inside the plunger actually reduced performance while trying to improve the air seal, and the o ring that was acting as a plunger stop gets smashed to bits with all of the spring pre-compression on these builds.

No 788 spring included.  These builds are for peak performance.  You're not here because you want a wimpy little pistol.

Thanks to all of the zinc community for making this possible.
